"Plantoir" by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen, 2001. Located in front of Meredith Corporation Headquarters at the west end of downtown Des Moines.
Oldenburg and van Bruggen actually have two sculptures in Des Moines--one at each end of downtown. "Crusoe's Umbrella" (1979) sits in Nollen Plaza on the east end.
