C.Y. Stephens Auditorium was constructed in 1969. It was designed by Brooks Borg Skiles Architecture and Engineering from Des Moines, Iowa, and in 2004 the auditorium was named the Iowa Building of the Century by the American Institute of Architects Iowa Chapter.
